IGP Visits Civil Defence Town, Kathua
Shri. Navin Agarwal IGP HG/ CD & Aux. Police, J&K visited Civil Defence Town Kathua on 17th April 2006 to review the functioning of Homeguards and Civil Defence in the Town. IGP inspected Area Commanders Homeguards Office, Civil Defence Control Room, Stores and gave instructions for the early installation of the exchange. He also interacted with Civil Defence Wardens who requested for provision of facilities at par with Civil Defence Town Jammu. They also made IGP aware about the duties performed by wardens in the town viz. Traffic Duty, Duties performed at Railway Station and assisted Poi lice in checking of vehicles and frisking of people at various Nakas in the town. IPG Assured them that similar facilities will be provided in near future and directed that the ambulance will remain stationed at Civil Defence Control Room for the benefit of the public. Wardens who interacted with IPG were Shri Dhian Chand, Chief Warden, Shri Sushil Gupta, Shri Surjeet Singh Jamwal. Nirmal Singh Dy SP Area Commander Homeguards Kathua was also present. IGP appreciated the renovation work done in the Area Commander Homeguards office by Area Commander Homeguards Kathua.
