Civil Defence emerging Big Force

 

Civil Defence meeting at District Police Lines, Jammu

 

Civil Defence would come up a big force which will work in the interest of national. Asking the Civil Defence wardens to keep themselves ready for any man made or natural disasters, if happens in future. This was disclosed by Sh. Navin Agarwal Inspector General of Police Homeguards & Civil Defence J&K in a meeting held at District Police Lines on May 2, 2006. He also distributed Civil Defence uniform jackets and commendation certificates along with cash reward among the Civil Defence wardens. He also instructed them to use these jackets while doing rescue and relief operations during disasters. In modern times, Civil Defence organisation would play an important role in recently constituted Disaster Management Authority, he added.

On the occasion Sh.G.S.Slathia DIG HG/CD Jammu, T.Phunsog Commandant Auxiliary 2nd Bn. Jammu and Dy.controller Manjit Kour also address the wardens and lauded the efforts of the wardens.
