Yatra Camp organized by Civil Defence J&K

 

 

A Civil Defence Yatra Camp at Baltal Srinagar.

 

Srinagar July 06:A Civil Defence Yatra Camp is functional at Baltal Srinagar w.e.f 18/06/06 where Regional Civil Defence Control Centre officials, Aux.Police personnel and civil defence volunteers are detailed.

Views of Civil Defence Camp at Baltal Srinagar during Shri Amarnath Yatra 2006

Dy. Commissioner (Controller CD Srinagar) visited the Baltal camp and in a meeting with various departmental officials he enquired about arrangements for the yataries. Yatra officer (SDM Ganderbal) and Police yatra officer, Sh. Nirmal Singh (Area Commander Homeguards Kathua) praised the Civil Defence organization for the arrangement/ activities undertaken by the Civil Defence Camp. Dy. Controller Civil Defence Srinagar alongwith Chief warden also visited the camp on 21/6/06.

The Civil Defence camp has been equipped with first aid, hot water, ambulance lift, bed rest for a while etc. Maximum yataries particularly on their way back have been availing these facilities that include first aid, drinking water and even some aged personnel were given lift in the Civil defence Ambulance upto base camp hospital.

During the camp free boarding/lodging & mess facilities have been provided to the Civil defence volunteers by Regional Civil Defence Control Centre Srinagar.

Views of Civil Defence Camp at Lakanpur, Kathua during Shri Amarnath Yatra 2006

Another camp by Civil Defence Kathua has been operational at Basohli Morh Lakhanpur w.e.f 17/6/06 under the supervision of Sh. Dhain Chand chief warden civil defence kathua. This civil defence camp also provided a number of facilities to Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatries.
