Three Day Workshop on Disaster Management

 

 

Jammu October 10: A three day workshop on disaster management started on 8th Oct. 2006 at Govt College for women parade Jammu under the guidance of principal Prof. Indira Rathore. Large number of college students and staff participated in the conference which was organized with an aim to introduce the guidelines of civil defence in educational institutions. In her inaugural lecture Dy.Controller civil defence Jammu Dy.SP Manjeet Kour said that elaborate protective arrangement should be made in the educational institutions as the protection of students is the responsibility of authorities incharge of educational institutions.

Dr. Ranbushan of Govt. Medical College Hospital delivered valueable lecture on the pre-hospital management of disaster victims. He gave a demonstration before the audience as to how life of disaster victims can be saved before his admission in the nearest hospital formally.
