Srinagar December 16th: one day disaster preparedness trainings programme for Homeguards/Civil Defence volunteers was convened by the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir in SKICC on 14th December 2006. Among others 58 civil defence wardens/volunteers.
Under the command of Dy.Controller RCDCC participated in the day long programme. Knowledgeable lectures were delivered by representatives of IRCON Railways, a Chennai based NGO life-help, Col.Joneja(PRO-Defence), Aamir Ali(UNDP), Indian Red Cross, Global Green peace and IMPA. At the conclusion of the training participation certificates along with cash rewards each were distributed among the volunteers.
