January 27th: Personnel of Homeguards/Civil Defence and Auxiliary police all over the state participated enthusiastically in the Republic day celebrations on 26th January 2007. The main parade was held at M.A.Stadium Jammu in which contingent of Aux. Police was led by Sh.T.R.Rana Dy.SP, Homeguards contingent was led by Mohd. Majid Malik Dy.SP and ladies armed police contingent was led by Smt. Manjit Kour Dy.SP.
In Srinagar the main parade was held at Bakshi Stadium in which the contingent of Homeguards/Civil Defence & Auxiliary Police was led by S.I. Mohd. Yousaf Sheikh. Similar parades were also held at other district headquarters in which contingents of Homeguards/Civil Defence & Aux. Police participated. The drill and March Past of Homeguards/Civil Defence & Auxiliary Police was appreciated by all.
