Darbar of Auxiliary Police

 

Srinagar, May 18th: A General Darbar of Auxiliary Police personnel from all the Auxiliary Police Detachments viz Kupwara, Pulwama, Anantnag, Baramulla,and Budgam was conducted on 17-05-2007 at 1100 hrs. at Auxiliary Police Headquarter Ist Bn. Srinagar under the Chairmanship of Shri Navin Agarwal, IPS, Inspector General of Police HG/CD & Aux.Police J&K Srinagar. Strength of 162 Jawans & NGOs was present in the Darbar, besides 4 gazetted officers including one SSsP, one SP & Two Dy. SsP were also present.

The main objective of this open Darbar was listen to the general grievances and problems of Jawans and officers of HG/CD & Aux.Police organisation and their immediate possible redressal on spot thereof.

Shri Navin Agarwal, IPS briefed the Jawans & officers with regard to their duties. He stressed them to discharge their duties with dedication and devotion and should become public friendly while discharging their duties. Shri Navin Agarwal IPS assured the Jawans that their legitimate grievances & problems will be redressed as soon as possible. He ordered the concerned on spot to solve their problems immediately. Some of the minor grievances were solved on spot.

Most of the Jawans reported that there is an acute & prolonged promotional stagnation in all the ranks. Some of Jawans reported that their due in-situ promotional benefits must be granted in their favour.

The Jawans & officers expressed their heart felt thanks to Shri Navin Agarwal, IPS for conducting the Darbar.
