IGP Review Homeguards/Civil Defence Work at Kargil

Kargil, August 1st: Shri Navin Agarwal IPS, IGP HG/CD & Aux. Police J&K visited the Kargil and conduct a meeting with the volunteers of Civil Defence & Homeguards on July 29, 2007. The sector warden of the civil defence apprised the IGP of various measures taken by civil defence in improving enrolments of volunteer for civil defence work and also the allotment of land for civil defence
control room at Kargil. However, all the wardens desire that the said land was located very for of from the town and would be unsuitable for the control room and requested for intervention to get a control room constructed with in the municipal limits. Inspector General of Police also held a darbar with the personnel of Auxiliary Police Dett. at Kargil who are deployed on various guard duties under in hospitable conditions. He assured them of resolving their problems and look into the welfare measures. Dirstrict Commandant of Hoemguards Shri Grib Dass IPS, Dy.Controller Civil Defence, Shri G.S.Chouhan Dy.SP and Shri Mohammed Ashraf, Coy Commandant Auxiliary Police were present on the occasion.
