Civil Defence Organised Awareness Camp in Jodhamal Public School

Jammu, August 7th: In accordance with directions of Sh.Navin Agarwal IPS, Inspector General of Police HG/CD & AXP J&K to further activate Civil Defence in Educational Institutions, a Civil Defence awareness programme followed by Mock Drill and plantation drive was organized in Jodhamal Public School Channi Himmat Jammu on 04-08-2007.

Mrs. Manjit Kour KPS delivered on the topic Civil Defence in J&K where she highlighted the significance of Civil Defence viz a viz Home land security . She also highlighted various guidelines necessary for the schools and necessary drill at the time of any disaster or eventuality.

Dr. Ranbushan gave a presentation followed by practical demonstration of first Aid and Golden Hour Resuscitation. Mrs. R. Lakhanpal Principal Jodhamal Public School Channi Himmat Jammu highly appreciation the Civil Defence teams for their valuable presentation and mock exercise.

As a part of Jammu “Van-Mahotsav 2007, a plantation was also organised in the campus of the School in which students also participated in the planting of trees. Placards prepared by students depicted the importance and scope of green environment. On the request of Mr. Nandan Kuthiala , guidelines for evacuation drill was provided to the school which would be tested soon once it is adopted thus making Jodhamal Public School Channi Himmat the first one to adopt Civil Defence Measures.
