DGP Khoda praises Police Civil Defence Wing

On August 20, 2007 describing civil defence as an inseparable part of the Jammu Kashmir Police, Sh.Kuldeep Khoda,IPS Director General of Police J&K said it has always come to the rescue of people and has always extended their support and co-operation during need.
The DGP, who is also the Commandant General of Civil Defence and Homeguards, was addressing the meeting of civil defence police officers and civil defence wardens of the Kashmir valley at the Divisional Civil Control Room Srinagar.
Sh.Khoda, inspected all the wings and sections of the civil defence control room to get first hand information about the working of the communication network system. He said that nature of the duties of the civil defence is different from that of the police as such it can work for bridging the gap between the police and the public. He promised all possible assistance and equipment during any crisis as the police wants to strengthen the civil defence organisation.
