Fire Incident at Srinagar

Srinagar, October 18th: On October 15, 2007 a fire broke out in a residential house at Chandpora (Nowhatta) at about 16:40 hrs. Shri Khaza Mohd Divisional Warden Civil Defence Srinagar informed to Regional Civil Defence Control Centre Srinagar about the fire incident and accordingly RCDCC informed all concerned including Fire & Emergency HQ/ PCR Srinagar and also deployed Civil Defence Wardens/ volunteers service in the area.

As the fire engulfed adjacent houses and took alarming proposition, the civil defence wardens with volunteers rushed towards the fire site and started rescue measures. They also assisted fire service personnel in reaching to their effected houses through narrow lanes etc.

Sh.Omer K Neudo, Chief Warden, Sh.Mauzam Bakshi Dy.Chief warden, Sh.Ganazafer Ali Divisional Warden, Sh.Hilal Ahmad Post warden, Sh.Javid Ahmad Sector warden civil defence Srinagar besides the other civil defence wardens/volunteers took part in rescue measure during the incident.
