Jammu, May 18th: One day Civil Defence, massive awareness programme was organised by the Civil Defence Town Budgam on 17th, May 2008 at Government Degree College Budgam. The function was inaugurated by the chief guest, Sh. Farooq Ahmed Renzu, KAS, Dy.Commissioner cum Controller Civil Defence, Budgam. The Chief guest delivered his lecture on the activities of Civil Defence and announced that land will be provided to Civil Defence organisation Budgam for imparting the necessary basic Civil Defence training to the civilians. During the programme many Civil Defence demonstrations were exhibited before the masses. At the end, Civil Defence training certificates and training allowance/T.A among the Civil Defence Wardens and volunteers, who have undergone five days basic Civil Defence training course were distributed. The Sr. Superintendent of Police, Budgam and other district heads were also present on the occasion.
