SDRF PERSONNEL AND HOMEGUARDS/ CIVIL DEFENCE VOLUNTEERS DEPLOYED FOR SHRI AMARNATH JI YATRA DUTY-2016 AT SRINAGAR AND JAMMU

A large number of HG/CD volunteers and SDRF personnel alongwith GOs/NGOs have been deployed for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Duty at various important places in Kashmir i.e Nunwan, Chandanwari Sheshnag, MG Top, Poshpatri, Panjtarni, Baltal, Brarimarg, Sangam & Holy Cave and at Jammu Province i.e. Lakhanpur, Kalibari, Chann Arorian, Chichi Mata, Base camp Bhagwati Nagar Jammu, Udhampur and Ramban. Sh.Amarnath Ji Yatra commenced from 02-07-2016 and concluded on 18-08-2016. All the SDRF teams who have undergone specialised Courses in Disaster Management have been deployed with well equipped rescue equipments and tents, First Aid Boxes with first aid material, sleeping bags, oxygen cylinders, shovels, pick axes, ropes, blankets etc. to tackle any eventuality. Moreover, SDRF rescue vehicles and ambulances have also been deployed round the clock at base camps Baltal, Phalgam and Bhagwati Nagar Jammu. Sh.S.Gopal Reddy, IPS Commandant General HG/CD & SDRF J&K also visited various SDRF camps and reviewed the arrangements for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra at Srinagar.

The SDRF MRTs provided oxygen and first aid to a large number of yatries. Besides, they assisted thousand of yatries especially sick and old aged to negotiate the difficult tracks of the route.


 

SDRF CONDCUTED AWARENESS CUM DEMONSTRATION PROGRAMME AT DPS RAJBAGH KATHUA

On 26-04-2016, SDRF organised one day awareness cum demonstration programme on CSSR, MFR and fire fighting at Delhi Public School Rajbagh Kathua. On the occasion Sh.S.Gopal Reddy, IPS Commandant General HG/CD & SDRF J&K was the chief guest. During the programme, about 400 students and staff members participated and were acquainted with Collapsed Structure Search & Rescue (CSSR), Medial First Response (MFR) and fire fighting during disaster by the SDRF personnel. A live demonstration on rescue operation was also conducted on the occasion.

Later on Sh.S.Gopal Reddy, IPS Commandant General HG/CD & SDRF J&K briefed the gathering on the importance of conducting such programmes. Sh.Stanzin Norboo, SSP Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn. Jammu also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the SDRF activities during disaster. Principal DPS thanked the chief guest for their visit and organising such useful programme. Among others Sh.Naresh Chib, Dy.SP Dy.Controller CD Kathua and Sh.Dhian Chand, Chief Warden CD Kathua were also present on the occasion.


 

CIVIL DEFENCE/HOMEGUARD & SDRF SAMBA CONDUCTED VARIOUS RESCUE OPERATIONS AT SAMBA

Civil Defence and SDRF team Samba conducted seventeen rescue operations during the period April 2016 to July 2016. During these rescue operations about 15 injured persons were rescued and shifted to district hospital for further treatment while 04 dead bodies were fished out and handed over to district Police. Moreover, on 25-07-2016 HG/CD & SDRF team also launched rescue operation at Basanter Nalla where a person was trapped in flash flood. During rescue operation the trapped person namely Ram Niwas age 30years R/o Utter Pardesh was saved safely by the team under the supervision of Dy.Controller Civil Defence Samba.


 

SDRF & CD JAMMU ORGANIZED MOCK DRILL CUM DEMONSTRATION PROGRAMME AT GOVT. POLYTECHNIC FOR WOMEN JAMMU ON 29-04-2016

On the conclusion of five days CD training camp which was started on 26-04-2016, SDRF & Civil Defence Jammu organized Mock Drill cum Awareness programme at Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Lower Shiv Nagar Jammu. Sh. S.Gopal Reddy, IPS Commandant General Homeguards/Civil Defence & SDRF, J&K was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

At the very outset Ms. Neelanjana Manwati, Principal Govt. Polytechnic for Women welcomed the Chief Guest and Traditional lamp was enlightened. It was followed by the Mock Drill exercise and the participants were acquainted with the latest rescue equipments, Fire Fighting, First Aid, MFR, Rappling etc. with the aim that in case of disaster they will act as first responder to save the life & property.

Sh. S. Gopal Reddy, IPS Commandant General HG/CD & SDRF J&K also addressed on the occasion and stressed upon participants that they should be aware about the Civil Defence/disaster management techniques so that during disaster they could prove instrumental in handling the situation effectively besides help in building self confidence and concern for humanity among the students.

While speaking Principal of the school appreciated the role of Civil Defence & SDRF and urged the participants to take out maximum benefits of this programme as it would also enhance their personality.

Besides, Sh. Vikas Gupta, SSP Divisional Commandant Homeguards, Jammu, Sh. Stanzin Narboo, SSP Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn, Jammu,, Smt Tajinder Kour, the then Dy.Controller Civil Defence, Jammu, Sh. Sunil Kesar, (KPS) Dy.SP SDRF 2nd Bn, Jammu, Sh. Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden, Sh. Khalil-ur-Rehman, Dy.Chief Warden, Dr. Rajinder Thappa, Dy.Div. Warden, Th. Ranjit Singh, Post Warden were also present on the occasion.

During the camp, a large number of students/staff members participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence and disaster management activities by the SDRF experts.

Speaking on the occasion, Sh. S. Gopal Reddy, IPS, Commandant General HG/CD/SDRF J&K stressed upon to gear up the CD activities and motivate more and more volunteers to join Civil Defence.

On the occasion, Sh. Bodh Raj, Dy.SP Dy. Controller Civil Defence Udhampur and Sh. Swtantra Dev Kotwal, Advocate Dy.Chief Warden Civil Defence Udhampur also addressed the participants and highlighted the Civil Defence activities and role of Civil Defence volunteers during disaster.


 

SDRF 2nd BN. JAMMU CONDUCTED VARIOUS RESCUE OPERATIONS AT JAMMU

State Disaster Response Force team conducted various rescue operations during the period April 2016 to July 2016. During these rescue operations about 04 dead bodies were fished out by the SDRF personnel and handed over the district Police. Besides, on 11-05-2016 to 12-05-2016, a rescue operation was carried out by SDRF personnel at canal Barnai Jammu where a car alongwith four family members had slipped off the road and fell down into the canal. The rescue team managed to pull out all the passengers to safely.

Moreover, on 26/5/2016 SDRF team was also deputed to the jungles of Nandini along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in a reported case of jungle fire. Alongwith major partners Fire and Emergency Department the fire was doused off without any loss of life and property.


 

SDRF JAMMU IMPARTED DISASTER MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES AMONG THE POLICE PERSONNEL AND TEACHERS AT JAMMU

SDRF 2nd Bn. Jammu organised five days Disaster Management Training camp at IRP 19th Bn. Channi Himmat Jammu w.e.f. 31-05-2016 to 04-06-2016. During the camp, about 30 police personnel were imparted training in disaster management techniques both outdoor and indoor classes by the SDRF experts. Besides, about 150 ladies Police personnel of IRP 15th Bn. Gulshan Ground Jammu and about 100 Police personnel of DPL Jammu were imparted disaster management training on 18-05-2016 and 27-05-2016 to 28-05-2016 respectively by the SDRF personnel.

Moreover, SDRF Jammu also organised two days workshop on disaster management at Institute of Education Muthi Jammu w.e.f. 13-06-2016 to 14-06-2016. During the workshop, about 55 Senior Masters and Teachers participated and were imparted training in Disaster Management techniques by the SDRF experts. During the workshop, a Power Point Presentation was delivered by the instructors followed by outdoor demonstration on Disaster Management.


 

SDRF AND CIVIL DEFENCE FISHED OUT DEAD BODIES DURING VARIOUS RESCUE OPERATIONS CONDUCTED AT KATHUA

On 24-05-2016, after receiving information that one person drowned in canal Ravi near Lakhanpur, SDRF and Civil Defence teams reached on spot and launched rescue operation. During rescue operation, dead body of a person namely Gh.Rasool Bhat age 25 years S/O Sh.Ali Mohd Bhat R/O Baramulla was recovered by the team and handed over to District Police. Further, on 11-06-2016 and 01-07-2016, SDRF/CD team Kathua also fished out dead bodies neamely Tarun Sharma age 18 years S/O Sh.Vijay Sharma R/O ward No.1 Kathua and Ashok Moria S/O Ram Moria R/O Uttar Pardesh respectively who was drowned in canal Ravi near village Kharota and near Shiv Mandhir Magar Khad Kathua during flash flood.

Besides, On 05-07-2016, after receiving information that one person had drowned in canal Ravi near Railway Station Govindsar Kathua, SDRF and Civil Defence teams reached on spot and launched rescue operation. During rescue operation, dead body of a person namely Harkesh Parsad age 23years S/O Kishori Parsad R/o Bihar was fished out by the team and handed over to District Police.


 

CIVIL DEFENCE SRINAGAR ORGANIZED BLOOD DONATION CAMP

On 26-04-2016 Civil Defence Srinagar organized one day blood donation camp at Lal Ded Hospital Srinagar in collaboration with the LD Hospital administration. During the camps local civil defence volunteers of Srinagar districts donated about 100 points of blood.

Moreover, CD awareness camp was also organized at Parraypora Bhagat Srinagar on 19-04-2016 by Civil Defence Srinagar under the supervision of Dy. Controller Civil Defence Srinagar. About 500 local youth and senior citizens participated in the camp and were acquainted about the role of civil defence during disasters etc.


 

CIVIL DEFENCE ANANTNAG CONDUCTED AWARENESS CUM DEMONSTRATION CAMPS

Civil Defence Anantnag organized awareness camps in district Anantnag at various places like Ashajipora, Verinag, DIET Anantnag & at Seer Hamdan Anantnag. During these camps, participants were briefed about the Do’s and Don’ts of emergencies while fire fighting mock drills were also conducted by the instructors of SDRF component Anantnag.

Civil Defence Anantnag also conducted search and rescue operation at Sangam in which one drowned person was fished out from river Jehlum.

Besides on the occasion of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 03-days table talk exercise of all stake holders were organized by shrine board in collaboration with civil defence and SDRF in which about 300 employees of various departments participated.


 

CIVIL DEFENCE LEH ORGANISED AWARENESS CAMPS IN DISTRICT LEH

Civil Defence Leh organized awareness camps in Leh at various places like at Lamdon Model Secondary school, DPL Leh, Lingshed Area Education Development Hostel Leh. During these camps, a large number of students and civilians participated and were acquainted with the role of civil defence and Disaster Management techniques by the SDRF/CD instructors. Participants were also motivated to join civil defence as volunteer to serve the society and nation.

During the month of July -2016 Civil Defence Leh also organized three CD awareness camps at JNV School Leh, Girls Hostel JNV Leh and Boys Hostel Sr. Secondary school Lamdan Leh in which about 300 students participated and were acquainted with the skills Civil Defence trainings like fire fighting first aid and rescue operations by the CD/SDRF personnel.


 

CIVIL DEFENCE BARAMULLA: Civil Defence Baramulla organized 02 CD awareness camps at Law Collage Sopore and Govt. Degree collage Baramulla in which about 300 students of these two institutes participated. During these camps the role of civil defence during emergencies were highlighted.

CIVIL DEFENCE URI organized awareness cum mock drill exercise at NHPC Power Project Uri. During the camps the employees of the NHPC were made aware about the DO’s and Don’ts to be assumed during earthquake , fire and Flood.

CD BUDGAM: Civil Defence Budgam organized five days Civil Defence camp at Govt. High school Peth Kanihama Budgam w.e.f. 09-05-2016 to 14-05-2016 in which about 20 local youths participated and were enrolled as Civil Defence volunteers. Moreover, Civil Defence Budgam also conducted awareness camp at Paller Budgam (225 participants) / Bemina Budgam (165 participants)/ Narkara Budgam (350 Participants) & Ichgam Budgam (160- Participants).

CD KARGIL: Civil Defence Kargil conducted six rescue operations at villages of Gramthang, Handarman, Baroo Sherbagh, Baroo, Chicktan, Jusgund Drass, Drass Hundarman & Kharboo and the victims were rescued from the accidental sites by the CD/SDRF personnel.

Moreover, a Fire Fighting Mock Drill Exercise was also conducted at Indian oil depot Kargil in which about 50 employees of depot participated and were made acquainted about fire fighting techniques by the CD/SDRF personnel.

CD SRINAGAR : Civil Defence Srinagar organized one day medical camps in collaboration with Red Cross society Kashmir on 30-06-2016 at Exchange road Srinagar in which about 300 ailing persons from the various locations of district Srinagar were treated and free prescribed medicines were distributed amount the participants.

During the month of June-2016 Civil Defence Srinagar deputed about 70 CD wardens / volunteers for assistance of Yatrees from at the location of TRC/ Nishat/ Habak Crossing / Nagbal Ganderbal and Manigam. These volunteers assisted the yatrees and maintained the traffic for easement the yatries.

  • CD TOWN AKHNOOR: Civil Defence Akhnoor organized 14 awareness camps in town Akhnoor at various places like at Ward No. 13 Akhnoor on 05-04-2016, Nehru Memorial Public School Akhnoor on 20-04-2016, Karan Market, Akhnoor on 25-04-2016, ward No. 03 Sohal Akhnoor on 03-05-2016, ward No. 02 Akhnoor on 10-05-2016 , Bomal Akhnoor on 19-05-2016, ward No. 10 Akhnoor on 04-06-2016, ward No. 02 Akhnoor on 13-06-2016, Bomal Akhnoor on 20-06-2016, Patari Akhnoor on 28-06-2016, Ward No.7 Akhnoor on 02-02-2016, ward No.9 Akhnoor on 08-07-2016, ward No.13 sungal morh Akhnoor on 18-7-2016 and Exchange Road Akhnoor on 26-07-2016.

    During the camps, a large number of students and civil people participated and were briefed about first aid, fire fighting and rescue by the CD/SDRF instructors. Besides, on the occasion of Baisakhi Mela Civil Defence Akhnoor also performed duty with local police at ‘Gea Pota Ghart’ Akhnoor on 13-04-2016.
    Moreover, Civil Defence Akhnoor also organized 05 days basic CD training camp at Balabhag Akhnoor w.e.f 24-05-2016 to 28-05-2016. During the camp about 30 local people participated and were imparted basic CD training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operations by the CD/SDRF instructors.
  • KISHTWAR: Civil Defence Kishtwar organized nine Civil Defence awareness camps in district Kishtwar at various places like at Panchyat Halqa Dugga Kishtwar on 06-04-2016, Panchyat Dugga Dhrabshalla Kishtwar on 07-04-2016, Panchyat Halqa Pochall Kishtwar on 19-04-2016 & on 20-04-2016, Sir Iqbal Academy High School Kishtwar on 16-05-2016 and Govt. Hr. Secondary School Kishtwar on 17-05-2016, Chatroo Kishtwar on 15-06-2016, Green Model High School Kishtwar on 27-06-2016 and at Sangram Bhatta Kishtwar w.e.f 02-06-2016 to 04-06-2016. During these awareness camps a large number of students and civilians participated and were briefed about Civil Defence basic trainings e.g. first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation and Disaster management activities.
  • CD TOWN SUNDERBANI: Civil Defence Sunderbani organized nine one day awareness camps in town Sunderbani at various places like at Govt. higher Secondary School on 12-04-2016, Govt. High School Tanda Kangri on 18-05-2016, Govt. High School Peli on 19-05-2016, ITI College (three time) on 11-06-2016, 14-06-2016 & 14-07-2016, CDPO office Sunderbani on 27-06-2016, Panchayat Halqa Bhakar on 17-7-2016 and Govt. High School Tanda Sunderbani on 20-7-2016. During these awareness camps a large number of students and civilians participated and were briefed about Civil Defence basic trainings e.g. first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation and Disaster management activities.
    Moreover, CD Sunderbani also organised 05 days CD basic training camp at Govt. High School Peli Sunderbani w.e.f 30-05-2016 to 04-06-2016. During the camp, about 30 students participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF instructors.
  • DODA: Civil Defence Doda organized twelve awareness camps in District Doda at various places like at Mohalla Nagri Doda on 04-04-2016, village Khellai on 20-04-2016, village Malnai on 26-04-2016, Village Paneja Thathri on 01-05-2016, village Sarsi Peryote district Doda on 26-05-2016, village upper Mandole Kastigarh Doda on 28-05-2016, AIER Public School Doda on 31-05-2016, Arnora Ghat Doda on 19-06-2016, Panchayat Halqa Kulshan Bhaderwah on 10-7-2016, Panchayat Halqa Gandho on 14-7-2016, Panchyat Halqa Beoli on 19-7-2016 and DIET Doda on 21-7-2016. During the camps, a large number of students and civil people participated and were briefed about first aid, fire fighting and rescue by the CD/SDRF instructors.

    Moreover, Civil Defence Doda also organised two CD basic training camps at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Bhaderwah w.e.f 01-06-2016 to 06-06-2016 and Govt. Higher Secondary School Sazan Doda w.e.f. 22-06-2016 to 27-06-2016. During the camps about 100 student/staff members participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF instructors.
  • RAJOURI: Civil Defence Rajouri organized nine awareness camps in district Rajouri at various places like at DIET Rajouri on 06-04-2016, Town Hall on 21-04-2016, DPL Rajouri on 11-5-2016, ITI Rajouri on 15-06-2016, Elite Public School on 20-06-2016, Panchyat Halqa Manga Kote on 26-06-2016 and at Govt. High School Tatta Pani Rajouri on 26-7-2016. During these awareness camps a large number of students and civilians participated and were briefed about Civil Defence basic trainings e.g. first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation and Disaster management activities.
    Moreover, CD Rajouri also conducted basic training camps at SDRF component Rajouri w.e.f 23-04-2016 to 28-04-2016 & w.e.f 03-06-2016 to 08-06-2016 in which about 30 police personnel participated and imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting, rescue operation and Disaster management by the SDRF instructors. Besides, CD Rajouri also conducted anti drug abuse and cleanliness programme at Gujar Mandi to DC office Gate Rajouri on 26-05-2016.
  • REASI: Civil Defence Reasi conducted various one day awareness Camps in district Reasi like at Panchyat Ghar Jeeri Reasi on 29-04-2016, Panchyat Ghar Salal kotli Reasi on 09-05-2016, Panchyat Ghar sujandhar Reasi on 10-05-2016, Panchyat Ghar Sersundwan Reasi on 15-05-2016, Panchyat Ghar Babber Bhraman Reasi on 19-05-2016 and Panchyat Ghar Akhali Buttan Reasi on 28-05-2016. During the camps, a large number of civilians participated and were briefed about first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF instructors.
    Moreover, Civil Defence Reasi conducted one day awareness camps at DPL Reasi w.e.f 20-05-2016 to 04-06-2016 and w.e.f. 04-7-2016 to 19-7-2016. During the camps, IRP/CRPF personnel participated and were briefed about the Disaster Management activities by the instructors.
  • JAMMU: Civil Defence Jammu organized awareness camps in district Jammu at various places like at J P World High School Channi on 05-04-2016, Anant Vidya Kender Hr. Sec. School Janipur on 07-05-2016, Kabir Mandir Janipur on 25-05-2016, Sobka Upper Ghrota Bhalwal on 14-06-2016, Govt. Hr. Sec. School Nagrota on 26-7-2016, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Super Specialty Hospital Katra on 27-7-2016 and at Activity Hr.Sec. School Janipur on 30-7-2016. During the camps, a large number of students and civil people participated and were briefed about first aid, fire fighting and rescue by the CD/SDRF instructors.

    Moreover, Civil Defence Jammu also organized 05 days basic Civil Defence training camps at Govt. Polytechnic College for women at Lower Shiv Nagar w.e.f 26-04-2016 to 30-04-2016, at Activity Hr. Secondary School Janipur w.e.f 02-05-2016 to 07-05-2016 and at Guru Tej Bahadur Guru Dawara Channi Rama w.e.f 09-05-2016 to 13-05-2016. During these camp about 300 students and civil people participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the Civil Defence/SDRF instructors. Besides, Civil Defence and SDRF Jammu also conducted Civil Defence demonstration at Sidhra Bridge Tawi River Jammu on 06-06-2016 to make aware the local people about the aim and role of Civil Defence during disaster.
  • SAMBA: Civil Defence Samba organised seven awareness camps in district Samba at various places like at village Kantholi Samba on 12-04-2016, village Deoal Samba on 30-04-2016, village Lala Chack Rajpura Ghagwal Samba on 02-05-2016, Sun Pharma Laboratory Sidco Complex Bari Brahaman Samba on 25-05-2016, village Sangwal Samba on 29-06-2016, Plauni Mansar on 20-7-2016 and at village Sarna Samba on 30-7-2016.     Moreover, Civil Defence Samba also conducted 05 days basic training camps at Indo Swift Factory Samba w.e.f 16-04-2016 to 20-04-2016, at village Sarna Samba w.e.f 25-05-2016 to 30-05-2016 and at Nandani Hill, Conference Hall Samba w.e.f. 25-7-2016 to 29-7-2016. During these camp about 150 civilians participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the Civil Defence/SDRF instructors.
    Besides, on 05-06-2016 Civil Defence Samba conducted one day plantation drive on the eve of World Environment Day at SIDCO complex Bari Brahmana Samba.
  • RAMBAN: Civil Defence Ramban conducted one day Civil Defence awareness camps at Kunfer Chanderkot on 09-04-2016 and Govt. Degree College Karol Ramban on 03-05-2016. During the camps, a large number of Students/civilians participated and were briefed about first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF instructors.
  • UDHAMPUR: Civil Defence Udhampur organized one day awareness camp in district Udhampur at Shivalik College of education on 06-06-2016, CD office complex Udhampur on 17-06-2016 and at Panchyat Halqa Jakhani Udhampur on 22-7-2016. During the camps, a large number of Students/civilians participated and were briefed about first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF instructors.
    Moreover, on the occasion of Mela CD Udhampur also conducted awareness cum first aid camps at Devika Mandir Udhampur w.e.f 13-04-2016 to 15-04-2016 , village Moungri Panchari w.e.f 14-05-2016 to 16-05-2016 and at Sudh Mahadev Temple Udhampur on 19-06-2016.
    Besides, Civil Defence Udhampur organised 05 days basic training camp at Govt. Girls High School Chenani Udhampur w.e.f 22-06-2016 27-06-2016. During the camp, about 119 students participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF instructors.

    CD TOWN NOWSHERA: Civil Defence Nowshera conducted one day CD awareness camp at village Chowki Nowshera on 27-04-2016, at Panchyat Langer Nowshera on 31-05-2016 and at Govt. High School Sher Makri Nowshera on 29-07-2016. During the camps a large number of students/civilians participated and were made aware about role and importance of Civil Defence during disaster by the CD/SDRF instructors.
    Moreover, Civil Defence Nowshera organized 05 days basic training camp at Darshan Nagar Nowshera w.e.f 23-06-2016 to 28-06-2016 in which participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation. Besides, Civil Defence Nowshera conducted rescue operation on 25-06-2016 when a fire incident happened at Police post Nowshera.
  • KATHUA: Civil Defence Kathua organized awareness camps in district Kathua at various places like at Unique Model Hr. Sec. School Chadwal Hiranagar on 06-04-2016, village Mearth Budhi Kathua on 11-04-2016, Govt. High School Lohai Billawar on 13-04-2016, Billawar on eve of Baiskhi festival on 13-04-2016, Delhi Public School Rajbagh Kathua on 26-04-2016, Panchyat Ghar Khokyal Kathua on 26-05-2016, PTS Kathua on 08-06-2016 and village Mearth Budhi Kathua on 28-7-2016. During the camps, a large number of students/civilians participated and were briefed about first aid, fire fighting and rescue operations by the CD/SDRF instructors.
    Moreover, Civil Defence Kathua also conducted 05 days CD basic training camp at Village Mearth Kathua w.e.f 17-05-2016 to 21-05-2016 in which about 88 civilians participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF instructors. Besides, CD Kathua organized 04 weeks Disaster management Response course at IRP 19th Bn. Changran Kathua w.e.. 30-05-2016 in which police personnel were imparted basic Disaster Management training by the SDRF experts.
  • POONCH: Civil Defence Poonch organized one day awareness camps in district Poonch at Govt. Middle School Lower Gursai on 29-04-2016, Panchyat Ghar Gursai Mendhar on 23-05-2016, Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Surankot Poonch on 31-05-2016 , Govt. High School Gali Kalaban Mendhar on 01-06-2016 and Panchyat Halqa Fazlabad Poonch on 10-06-2016. During the camps, a large number of students/civilians participated and were briefed about first aid, fire fighting and rescue operations by the CD/SDRF instructors.
    Besides, CD Poonch conducted 05 days CD basic training camp at Govt. High School Fazlabad Surankote w.e.f. 25-06-2016 to 30-06-2016 in which about 99 students participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF instructors.
