CIVIL DEFENCE UDHAMPUR ORGANISED INTER-COLLEGE SYMPOSIUM ON DISASTER MANAGEMENT

Students are delivering their lectures during inter-college symposium on Disaster Management at Shivalik College of Education Udhampur organised by Civil Defence Udhampur

On 19-03-2017, Civil Defence Udhampur organized inter-College symposium on Disaster Management at Shivalik College of education Udhampur. On this occasion Sh.Shalindra Mishra, SSP Udhampur was the Chief Guest on inaugural session while Sh.Varinder Sharma, IPS DIG Udhampur/Reasi Range Udhampur was the Chief Guest on concluding ceremony. Sh.Sudeshan Mehta, Dy.SP Area Commandant Homeguards cum I/C Dy. Controller CD Udhampur welcomed the Chief Guests of said programme.

The function proceeded under the judgement of Sh.Sham Saroop Kalsotra, prominent citizen of Udhampur, Sh.Bhushan Sethi, Retd. Zonal Sports officer, Distt. Youth Services and Sports Deptt. Udhampur, Sh.Surinder Kumar, Advocate, Chief warden Civil defence Udhampur and under the anchorship of Sh.Swatantra Dev Kotwal, Dy. Chief Warden Civil Defence Udhampur.

On the occasion, Sh.Manish Gulati, Principal Happy Modal School and Smt. Sunita Koul, Principal Shivalik College of Education Udhampur and Sh.Ved Parkash Kashyap, Dy. Chief Warden Civil Defence participated in the programme.

Sh.Varinder Sharma,IPS DIG Udhampur/Reasi Range Udhampur distributed the prizes to the winners in which first prize was given to Shivi Badyal of Govt. Degree College Udhampur, Parul Oberoi of Govt. College for women got second prize, Ankita Sharma of Shivalik College of Education as third while as fourth prize gone to Kashish Mahajan of Govt. Degree College Udhampur.


 

FIRE SAFETY DRILL AWARENESS CAMP ORGANISED BY CIVIL DEFENCE LEH

To create essential awareness about fire fighting and to provide basic knowledge skills and abilities to deal with fire hazards, Civil Defence Leh conducted training cum mock drill exercise at upper Choglamsar Village of District Leh on 03-December-2016. Mr. Sonam Durjay, Deputy Controller Civil Defence Leh and his training instructors demonstrated the precautionary and preventive measures. The training programme was designed to ensure that local people understand the procedures which need to be followed in the event of fire and to raise awareness about the importance of fire safety in residential areas etc, they were acclimatized with the working of various fire fighting / rescue equipments during the drill. The local residents of the village thanked civil defence staff for organizing such a well-informative event.


CIVIL DEFENCE SRINAGAR ORGANIZED BLOOD DONATION CAMP IN COLLABORATION WITH JIO RELIANCE COMPANY ON 2ND JANUARY 2017 AT CITY MALL JEHANGIR CHOWK SRINAGAR

Sh.Aamir Ali, Director Disaster Management J&K (Dy.Chief Warden CD) alongwith officers briefing the participants during blood donated camp organised by Civil Defence Srinagar at City Mall Jahangir Chowk, Srinagar

During the event Civil Defence volunteers from various areas of district Srinagar donated blood to save the precious human lives who were in need of blood in various hospitals of district Srinagar. Moreover Mr. Shabir Hussain Khan who is a renowned blood donator also donated one point of blood during the event. The benevolence step of Civil Defence was lauded by civil society in general and administration in particular.


ROAD SAFETY WEEK WAS OBSERVED BY CIVIL DEFENCE SRINAGAR

 

A view of road safety week was observed by Civil Defence Srinagar

On the eve of Road Safety week w.e.f. 09-01-2017 to 15-01-2017 Civil Defence Srinagar organized various rallies/ public meetings throughout Srinagar city. During these public meetings Civil Defence Srinagar distributed literature of do’s and don’ts among the general public. The gathering of drivers and transporters were impressed to adhere safety precautions while driving vehicles.


CIVIL DEFENCE ORGANISED VARIOUS AWARENESS AND TRAINING CAMPS

Civil Defence Doda conducted various awareness camps at District Doda at Mohallah Tondwah on 09-12-2016, Village Arnora Doda on 14-12-2016, Mohallah Parmaz Doda on 22-12-2016,village Pranoo Doda on 29-12-2016, Pull Doda on 10-01-2017, Thanala Bhaderwah on 15-01-2017 and Village Nalwah Ghat on 22-01-2017, Diamond Youth Club Doda on 05-02-2017, Govt. ITI Bhaderwah on 15-02-2017, Village Bhelli Doda on 18-02-2017 , Village Jodhpur Doda on 28-02-2017, Govt. Primary School Doda on 06-03-2017, Mohalla Akarmabad Doda on 16-03-2017, Panchayat Halqa Seri Doda on 21-03-2017 and Panchayat Halqa Bhagwah Doda on 24-03-2017. During these camps a large number of students/civilians participated and were acquainted with CD skills i.e. first aid, fire fighting and rescue operations by the CD/SDRF instructors.

Moreover Civil Defence Doda organized 05 days CD basic training camp at IRP 5th Bn. HQ Beoli Doda on 02-12-2016 in which 40 police personnel participated and were imparted training about fire fighting, first aid and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF instructors. Besides Civil Defence Doda organized 05 days CD basic training camp at Panchayat Halqa Rewara Doda w.e.f 06-03-2017 to 10-03-2017 in which about 54 locals participated and were imparted training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operations by CD/SDRF instructors.


CIVIL DEFENCE TRAINING PROGRAMME ORGANIZED AT GOVT. COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, GANDHI NAGAR, JAMMU

Civil Defence volunteers were imparted basic training in civil defence skills by CD instructors during a training camp organized by Civil Defence Jammu at Govt. College of women Gandhi Nagar Jammu w.e.f. 03-03-2017 to 08-03-2017

Civil Defence, Jammu organized five days training programme at Govt. College for Women Gandhi Nagar, Jammu w.e.f. 03-03-2017 to 08-03-2017. During this training, a large number of students/staff members participated and were imparted basic training in fire-fighting, first aid and rescue operations by the CD/SDRF personnel.

While on the concluding day, Dy.SP Anita Pawar Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu also briefed the participants and highlighted the role of Civil Defence especially the role of girl students in the Civil Defence organization. The main aim of the training programme was to facilitate the students and staff members with the role and importance of Civil Defence and Disaster management. She urged upon the participants to join the Civil Defence to serve the society. She also thanked the Principal and staff members for inviting Civil Defence team to organize training course of Civil Defence.

Smt. Kiran Bakshi, Principal of the college highly appreciated the role of Civil Defence and SDRF. At least 100 students and staff members attended the said training programme. Besides others, present on the occasion were Smt.Amritpal Kour, NSS Programme Officer, Sh.Parmjit Kumar, Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu, Smt.Santosh Magotra, Divisional Warden, Sh.R. Vijay Magotra, Dy. Divsional Warden and Sh.Ranjit Thakur, Post warden CD Jammu.


GOVT. ISLAMIA COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND COMMERCE HOSTS ONE DAY CIVIL DEFENCE AWARENESS CAMP

On 04-03-2017 Civil Defence Srinagar organized one day awareness camp at Islamia collage of science and commerce Srinagar and during the event the participants were acquainted with collapsed structure search and rescue / First aid and fire fighting techniques and tactics. A live demonstration was also held on the occasion.


CIVIL DEFENCE IMPARTED BASIC CD TRAINING TO ANGANWARI WORKERS W.E.F. 13-03-2017 to 17-03-2017

Five days training programme was held at Social Welfare Department (ICDS) Channi was organized by Civil Defence, Jammu under the guidance of Addl. Director General HG/CD & SDRF J&K and close supervision of Dy. SP Anita Pawar, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu. Anganwari workers from urban remote areas of Jammu province were provided knowledge regarding first aid & fire fighting with rescue techniques during the training program. While speaking on the occasion Dy.SP Anita Pawar, Dy. Controller Civil Defence, highlighted the role of Civil Defence especially the role of women in the Civil Defence organization. The main aim of the training programme was to facilitate the Anganwari workers and staff members with regard to preventive history of Civil Defence and importance of First Aid, Rescue Techniques and Disaster Management. She urged upon the participants to join the Civil Defence to serve the society. On the occasion, Sh.Parmjeet Kumar, Chief Warden also highlighted the CD wardens set up of the organization. Smt.Sadhana Jamwal, Principal of the institute highly appreciated the role of Civil Defence and requested to conduct such training programmes in future also. At least 50 Anganwari workers including staff members attended the training programme.


CD ANANTNAG ORGANIZED ONE DAY DISTRICT LEVEL WORKSHOP OF DISASTER MANAGEMENT & MITIGATION

On 16-03-2017, CD Anantnag organized one day district level workshop on disaster management at CD conference hall Anantnag. Dr Syed Abid Rashid IAS Deputy Commissioner Anantnag cum Controller Civil Defence Anantnag was the chief guest on the occasion while Shri Zubair Ahmad Khan KPS SSP Anantnag was the guest of honour . The workshop was also attended by Shri Muzaffar Hussain DYSP DAR Anantnag, Shri Ruksar Ahmad DYSP Area commander Homeguards Anantnag and other Govt. officers from various departments viz Health, Fire & Emergency services and ICDS etc. The Chief guest highlighted the role of civil defence in disaster management while as guest of honour stressed upon the participants to join Civil defence, besides both the dignitaries have assured gathering for all possible help and assistance with regard to disaster management. Dy. Controller CD Anantnag Shri Reyar Ahmad (DYSP) welcomed all the guests and participants.


DISASTER MANAGEMENT PROGRAMMES/ACTIVITIES ORGANISED BY SDRF 2ND BN. JAMMU

Students were acquainted with Disaster Management skills by the SDRF personnel during a camp organised at Dewan Badrinath Vidya Mandir Amarvilla School at Talab Tillo Jammu

On 22-12-2016, One day Disaster Management workshop cum demonstration was conducted at Jammu University by SDRF 2nd Bn. Jammu. During the workshop about 250 lecturers and Teachers witnessed the demonstration exhibited by SDRF personnel. While as World Bank Team visited at SDRF 2nd Bn Jammu on 20-01-2017 who were acquainted with SDRF setup, trainings and equipments by displaying a stall of CSSR, MFR,Water Rescue and Fire fighting Equipments.

On 15-03-2017 SDRF Personnel delivered lectures at DPL on CSSR, MFR, First Aid and Disaster Management in which (45) Police personnel had participated. On 04-02-2017 one day awareness camp on DM and Demonstration at Dewan Badrinath Vidya Mandir Amarvilla School Talab Tillo Jammu was conducted in which (115) School students and staff members have participated. On 17-02-2017, one day awareness camp on Disaster Management and Demonstration was organised at NCC Camp Nagrota in which about 450 NCC cadets and staff members had participated.

Besides, SDRF 2nd Bn. Jammu celebrated its 05th Annual Raising day on 21-01-2017 at SDRF Bn. HQ Jammu. During the programme, Sh.Stanzin Norboo, SSP Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn.was the chief guest who took salute on the occasion.

Moreover, on 28-01-2017 to 29-01-2017, a Red Cross mela was organized at Govt. Women Degree College Gandhi Nagar Jammu where SDRF displayed a stall of CSSR and MFR Equipments and briefed the participants about types of equipments and its functions during disasters.

On 08-03-2017 one day awareness camp on DM and Demonstration at Starlight Power Grid venture Ltd. Channi Himmat was held in which (50) Power grid Employees participated. On 13-03-2017 one day MOCK Drill Exercise at Bn. Hqrs on CSSR, MFR and Fire Fighting/ Rescue Operation for 02 Hours was conducted in which (75) SDRF personnel participated.


ACTIVITIES IN BRIEF:

  • CD SUNDERBANI: Civil Defence Town Sunderbani organised awareness camps at various places i.e. at Govt. Middle School Sunderbani on 19-012-2016 in Collaboration with DIET Rajouri, at HI TECH ABC Computer institute Sunderbani on 26-12-2016, at Govt. High School Peli Sunderbani on 31-01-2017, at Govt. Girls High School Siot Sunderbani on 04-02-2017, Panchyat Halqa Balshama Sunderbani on 05-02-2017 and Panchyat Halqa Patrara Sunderbani on 20-02-2017 at Army sport ground Sunderbani on 16-03-2017 and Panchayat Halqa Bal Shamma Sunderbani on 26-03-2017. During the camps a large number of students/civilians/teachers participated and were acquainted with various skills of Civil Defence and Disaster Management like first aid, fire fighting, snake bite, CPR, Emergency knots and improvise methods during the rescue by the CD/SDRF instructors.
    Moreover, Civil Defence Sunderbani also organized 05 days CD basic training camps at Panchyat Halqa Patrara Sunderbani w.e.f. 25-02-2017 and at Village Mawa Patrara w.e.f 01-03-2017 to 05-03-2017 in which a large number of locals have participated. During these camps, participants were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue techniques by the CD/SDRF experts.
  • CD POONCH: Civil Defence Poonch organised basic CD training camps at Govt. Higher Secondary School Bhata Dhurian Mendhar w.e.f 15-12-2016 to 21-12-2016, at Govt. High School Jaranwali Gali Mendhar w.e.f 11-02-2017 to 16-02-2017, at Govt. High School Digwar Poonch on 07-03-2017. During these camps a large number of students/teachers participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF instructors. Civil Defence Poonch also conducted awareness camps at Panchyat Halqa Saral Poonch on 04-01-2017, Govt. High School Mander Poonch on 28-01-2017, at Govt. Girls High School Deywar on 27-02-2017, at Khaneter Poonch on 04-03-2017 in which a large number of students/civilians participated and were briefed about the role and importance of Civil Defence/ Disaster Management during disaster by the instructors. Demonstrations on rescue were also exhibited on the occasions by the experts.
  • CD AKHNOOR: Civil Defence Akhnoor organised various awareness camps at different places of CD Town Akhnoor i.e. at Tanda Akhnoor on 08-12-2016, Little Flower School Akhnoor on 14-12-2016, Kot Ghari, Aknnoor on 20-12-2016, Ward no. 05 Akhnoor on 23-12-2016, Khuga, Akhnoor on 27-12-2016, Ambaran Akhnoor on 04-01-2017, Nehru Memorial Public School, Akhnoor on 12-01-2017, Balabhag Akhnoor on 19-01-2017, Ward No. 11 Akhnoor on 23-01-2017 and Ward No. 07 on 29-01-2017, ward No. 05 Akhnoor on 02-02-2017, Indira Memorial High School Sunaila, Akhnoor on 08-02-2017, Ward No. 01 Akhnoor on 13-02-2017, Daskal More, Akhnoor on 20-02-2017, Ward No. 13 Akhnoor on 06-03-2017, Nehru memorial Public School Akhnoor on 13-03-2017, Kashmiri Mohala, Akhnoor on 18-03-2017, Ward No. 09 Akhnoor on 24-03-2017 and Sohal ward No. 02 Akhnoor on 30-03-2017. During these camps a large number of students/ civilians/ teachers participated and were acquainted with various skills of Civil Defence and Disaster Management like first aid, fire fighting and rescue operations by the CD/SDRF instructors. Moreover, CD Akhnoor also organized 05 days CD basic training camp at Ward No. 05 Akhnoor w.e.f 23-02-2017 to 28-02-2017 in which about 50 civilians participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the Civil defence and SDRF instructors.

    CD KATHUA: Civil Defence Kathua organized two days Capacity Development Programme on Disaster Management on 15-12-2016 at Govt. Middle School Chack Sheikhan Kathua in which about 42 Govt. Teachers participated and acquainted with Civil Defence basic training courses like fire-fighting, first aid and rescue operations by the CD/SDRF experts. Civil Defence Kathua also conducted various awareness camps at Kathua i.e. at Rose Public School Nagri Kathua on 29-01-2017, at Shastri Memorial Hr. Sec. School Hiranagar Kathua on 30-01-2017, at Govt. High School Sherpur Kathua on 27-02-2017, at Govt. Middle School Chack Nathal on 08-03-2017, at Rainbow High School Kathua on 20-03-2017, at Panchayat Ghar Palakh Basolhi on 23-03-2017 and at Ankush Modern High School Karroh on 29-03-2017.

    Moreover, CD Kathua organised 15 days CD cum Disaster Management training courses at SDRF Component Kathua w.e.f 07-02-2017 to 21-02-2017 and w.e.f 03-03-2017 to 18-03-2017 in which Homeguard volunteers participated and were imparted basic disaster management skills by the experts. Besides, 05 days CD basic training camps also organised at Shastri Memorial Hr. Sec. School Haripur Hiranagar w.e.f 17-02-2017 to 22-02-2017, at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Kathua w.e.f 14-03-2017 to 18-03-2017 in which a large number of CD volunteers participated and imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation.

    CD RAJOURI: Civil Defence Rajouri organised 05 days CD basic training camps at Shahpur Bhudal, Rajouri w.e.f 01-12-2016 to 05-12-2016, at District Police Line Rajouri w.e.f 03-01-2017 to 07-01-2017, Panchayat Halqa Khori Wali Rajouri w.e.f 16-01-2017 to 20-01-2017, at Civil Defence office Rajouri w.e.f. 21-02-2017 to 25-02-2017, District Police Line Rajouri w.e.f 13-02-2017 to 17-02-2017, Panchyat Halqa Rajnagar Rajouri w.e.f 27-02-2017 to 03-02-2017, at Dalodra Rajouri w.e.f. 08-03-2017 to 12-03-2017 and Little Angle Hr. Sec. School Rajdani Thanamandi Rajouri w.e.f 13-03-2017 to 17-03-2017. During these camps a large number of students/teachers participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF instructors.
    Moreover, CD Rajouri organized one day CD awareness camps at Panchyat Rajdhani, Thanamandi on 29-12-2016, at Govt. Girl High School Jawahar Nagar Rajouri on 9th & 10th of Dec.2016, at Little Angle School, Thanamandi Rajouri on 28-02-2017 in which a large number of students/civilians participated and were briefed about the role and importance of Civil Defence during disaster. Besides, Civil Defence Rajouri also conducted 15 days CD/Disaster Management course at Homeguards Line Rajouri w.e.f 31-12-2016 and w.e.f 16-01-2017 to 31-01-2017 in which Homeguard volunteers participated and were imparted Civil Defence and disaster management skills by the CD/SDRF instructors.

    CD UDHAMPUR: Civil Defence Udhampur organised three awareness camps at Anand Bhartya Vidya Academy Udhampu on 14-12-2016, Nari Niketain Udhampur on 24-12-2016 and Old age Home Udhampur on 25-12-2016. During these camps a large number of students/civilians participated and were acquainted with CD skills i.e. first aid, fire fighting and rescue operations by the CD/SDRF instructors. Moreover, Civil Defence Udhampur also conducted awareness programme on the occasion of traffic week w.e.f 09-01-2017 to 11-01-2017. Civil Defence Udhampur organised 05 days Civil Defence basic training camps at ST Basti Chrawa Mansar w.e.f. 28-02-2017, at Kalra College education Udhampur w.e.f 02-03-2017 to 09-03-2017 and Comman Public School w.e.f 16-03-2017 to 22-03-2017 in which about 400 students/ civilians participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and also conducted live demonstrations on various rescue operations by the CD/SDRF personnel.

Degree College Women Prarade Jammu on 23-01-2017, at NCC camp Nagrota Jammu on 17-02-2017, at National College of Education Purkoo Jammu on 02-03-2017 and Kabir Mandir janipur Colony on 24-03-2017 in which a large number of students/civilians participated and were acquainted with basic training skills in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by CD/SDRF instructors.
    Moreover, Civil Defence Jammu organized five days basic training camps at Govt. Women College Gandhi Nagar Jammu w.e.f 03-03-2017 to 08-03-2017 and at Social Welfare Department Channi w.e.f 13-03-2017 to 17-03-2017 in which about 124 students/civilians participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue technique by the CD/SDRF instructors.

    Moreover, Civil Defence Samba also organized 05 days CD basic training camps at Sarna Samba w.e.f 24-01-2017 to 30-01-2017, at Village lower Sandhi Ghagwal Samba w.e.f 23-02-2017 to 27-02-2017, at Village sarian Nud Samba w.e.f 02-03-2017 to 06-03-2017 and at Village Ratanpur Surara Ghagwal w.e.f 08-03-2017 to 12-03-2017. During these camps, a large number of CD volunteers participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operations by the CD/SDRF instructors. Besides, Civil Defence Samba conducted rescue operation near Chichi Mata Temple on 09-03-2017 in Basanter River during flash flood in which three persons were trapped who were rescued safely.
  • CD KISHTWAR: Civil Defence Kishtwar conducted 05 days CD basic training camp at Panchyat Halqa Karool Kishtwar w.e.f. 05-12-2016 to 09-12-2016, at Panchyat Halqa Bagana Kishtwar w.e.f 06-12-2016 to 10-12-2016 and at Panchyat halqa Dada Karool w.e.f 23-12-2016 to 27-12-2016, at Panchyat Halqa Trigam w.e.f 23-02-2017 to 27-02-2017. During these camps a large number of students/civilians participated and were imparted CD basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operations by the CD/SDRF instructors. Besides, Civil Defence Kishtwar organized 15 days Disaster Management course at DPL Kishtwar w.e.f 01-02-2017 to 15-02-2017 and w.e.f 01-03-2017 to 15-03-2017 in which Homeguards Volunteers participated and were imparted basic training in Civil Defnce/ Disaster Management skills by the experts.
    Also Civil Defence Kishtwar conucted two CD awareness camps at Mohalla Matta Kishtwar on 09-01-2017 and Panchyat Halqa Trigam Kishtwar on 17-01-2017, at Boys Hr. Sec. School Kishtwar on 26-02-2017 and District Police Office Kishtwar on 25-02-2017

    CD REASI: Civil Defence Reasi conducted two days workshop training on Disaster Management at DIET Reasi w.e.f 26-12-2016 in which 57 Govt. teachers participated and were made aware about Civil Defence/Disaster management skills. Besides, CD Reasi also organized 15 days CD/Disaster Management course of VHGs at District Police Line Reasi in which Homeguard volunteers participated and imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operations by CD/SDRF instructors.
    Moreover, Civil Defence Reasi conducted 05 days CD basic training camp at Govt. General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College Reasi w.e.f 16-02-2017 to 20-02-2017, at Panchayat Ghar Kotli Mantorain Bata Reasi w.e.f 02-03-2017 to 06-03-2017 and Panchayat Ghar kotli Karua Reasi w.e.f 16-03-2017 to 20-03-2017 in which students/civilians participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by CD/SDRF instructors. Also Civil Defence Reasi conducted one day CD awareness camp at Govt. Middle School Doongi Reasi on 19-12-2016, at Tata Project Ltd. Store Bamal Reasi on 24-01-2017.

    A View of one day awareness programme held at Govt. High School Kanga Ramban
    CD RAMBAN: Civil Defence Ramban organized basic training camp at IRP 9th Bn. HQ Maitra Ramban w.e.f 02-12-2016 to 06-12-2016 and Panchyat jhatgalli Ramban w.e.f 15-12-2016 to 19-12-2016 in which total 119 police personnel/civilians participated and were imparted training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operations by the SDRF instructors.
    Moreover, CD Ramban organized awareness camps at Govt. I.T.I Ramban on 21-12-2016, at Govt. High School Ind Ramban on 23-02-2017, at Govt. High School Dalwas, Ramban on 23-03-2017. During these camps a large number of students participated and were acquainted with Civil Defence skills like first aid, fire fighting and rescue operations by the CD/SDRF instructors. Besides, Civil Defence Ramban conducted 05 days basic CD training at Panchyat Chachwah Gool Ramban w.e.f 18-02-2017 to 22-02-2017 in which local civilians participated and were made aware about role and importance of Civil Defence during disaster by the experts. Civil Defence Ramban also conducted combined mock exercise of Hafazat-e-Awam on Avalanche rescue on 22-01-2017 in which Army, CRPF, Local Police Red Cross Medical Team participated. Also Civil Defence Ramban also conducted combined Mock exercise of Hafazat-e-Awam on Bomb Disposal rescue on NHW at Tatarsoo, Maitra, Ramban on 23-01-2017.

    CD NOWSHERA: Civil Defence Nowshera conducted one day CD awareness camp at Govt. Degree College Nowshera on 23-01-2017, at Govt. Middle School Sher Nowshera on 07-02-2017 and Govt. Girls Middle School Qila Darhal Nowshera on 08-02-2017 in which a large number of students participated and were made aware about the role and importance of Civil Defence during disaster.
    Moreover, Civil Defence Nowshera conducted 05 days Civil Defence basic training camp at NCIIT Nowshera w.e.f 20-03-2017 to 24-03-2017 in which about 50 students participated and were imparted basic training in first aid, fire fighting and rescue operation by the CD/SDRF instructors.
  • CD SRINAGAR:- Civil Defence Srinagar imparted civil defence training to 79 youths at RCDCC Srinagar w.e.f.23-01-2017 to 28-01-2017. Besides at Al- Huda Computer Centre Khanyar w.e.f. 30-01-2017 to 03-02-2017 and Soft One computer institute Khanyar w.e.f. 30-01-2017 to 03-02-2017. During these training camps trainees were imparted basic training about the tactics of first aid and fire fighting etc. by the CD experts.
  • CD ANANTNAG:- During the month of January-2017 Civil Defence Anantnag organized two training camps of 15-days duration for Homeguards volunteers of district Anantnag during these training camps about 100 VHG’s of district Anantnag were imparted refresher training in Disaster Management.
  • CD PULWAMA:- W.e.f 30-01-2017 to 03-02-2017 civil defence Pulwama imparted Civil Defence training to 100 youths of village Chusoo Awantipora and enrolled them as civil defence volunteers. Moreover civil defence Pulwama / Awantipora conducted one day awareness camp at Industrial Training Institute Pampore on 16-02-2017 in which about 100 students of different engineering trades participated.
  • CD BUDGAM :- During the month of January-2017 Civil Defence Budgam organizes 10-CD awareness camp at Apex Academy School Budgam on 19-01-2017 (155- Participants) / Oxford Tuition Academy Budgam on 20-01-2017 (235- Participants)/ Boys higher secondary school Beerwah on 21-01-2017(210-Participants) / Husnain Institute Mir Complex Berrwah on 28-01-2017 (165- participants) / Sulfia Institute Gondipora Beerwah on 02-02-2017 (225-participants) / Chandipora Budgam 14-02-2017 (120-particpants) / English academy coaching centre Budgam on 16-02-2017 ( 77-particpants) / Kant war Budgam on 18-02-2017 (70-particpants) / Cheki Beerwah on 28-02-2017 (110-Particpants). Besides Civil Defence Budgam organized 01- training camps of five days duration w.e.f.13-02-2017 to 17-02-2017 and in which about 110 students and local youths were imparted civil defence basic training.
  • CD BARAMULLA: Civil Defence Baramulla organizes one day awareness camp at Jahama Baramulla on 20-01-2017 in which about 30 locals participated/ Besides one training camps of 05-days duration was conducted at Poly technique collage Kehnispora Baramulla w.e.f. 16-02-2017 to 20-02-2017 in which about 60- students were enrolled as civil defence volunteers and were acquainted about the disaster management tactics and conduct of rescue operations etc.
  • CD URI: Civil Defence Uri organized two training camps of five days duration in which about 74 students / youths Balkoot Uri were imparted civil defence training and were enrolled as civil defence volunteers of boarder area.
  • CD KUPWARA : Civil Defence Kupwara organizes 03- awareness camps at various places of district Kupwara viz Govt. Higher Secondary school Maidan Pora Lolab Kupwara / Govt. High School Chogul & DPL Kupwara on 15-23 & 25 February 2017 in which about 700 students and staff members witnessed the live demonstration of fire fighting first aid etc.
  • CD KARGIL : Civil Defence Kargil organizes 03- awareness camps at various places of district Kargil viz Barool Kargil on 13-02-2017 / Sankoo Kargil on 25-02-2017 / Shailikchay Kargil on 27-02-2017 which about 200 locals participated. Moreover two rescue operations were conducted at Kabdi Nallah Kargil and Baro Kargil on 17-02-2017 and 22-02-2017, besides one training camp of five days duration was conducted at KPS Kargil w.e.f.06 to 10-02-2017 in which about 50 volunteers were imparted training in disaster mitigation and management of emergencies etc.
  • CD LEH : Civil Defence Leh organizes 03- awareness camps at various places of district Leh besides conducted one fire rescue at main chowk Leh on 17-02-2017.
